Me: despite becoming an Instagram slave recently, I don't really like the idea of adding filters to everything. I think Instagram worked for mobile because ppl find that the filters make low quality images look better but I don't think it should be the way we make photos in the future. ppl start thinking that photography can just be taking a crappy photo and adding filters to make it artsy. it's just capitalizing on the nostalgia bug of our time. real film is way better.

I: Spoken like a true film addict!(: I think photography can be photoshopped to the nth, as long as it sticks to your initial vision/art when u take the photo
Me: true that. just don't like it when ppl just use photoshop/filters as an excuse to not put in effort in taking photos.
I: I think for beginners it's a good tool to train you to compose better! you can photoshop focus and angles! I'm amazed by some of the flickr artists that reconstruct photos, bgs and objects. Not my thing though but still amazed!
